Once there was a snowman...

Here we are in deserty Kingman, AZ where we never thought we would see another drop of precipitation again--as in, if it were possible to suck the last infintesimal signs of moisture from the dry, crackling air, that is exactly what should & would be happening. But suddenly, much to our dismay it poured buckets over the weekend--which to our delight--turned into snowing sheets for the last 2 days. Jason stared out the front window watching the huge flakes blanket the dusty world outside and no one could contain his excitement as the flakes got larger and thicker with each passing minute. Immediately nap time was forgotten, a mad dash was made to dig out winter clothes packed away in the garage, boys were bundled, shovels discovered and out the door we went. The boys played in, threw, laid in, rolled on, ate (yes, Ryan currently eats anything possible), and then got soaked by snow, snow, snow! We actually received over 4 inches in about 36 hours. People here are hunkering down like the end of the world is upon us (hell freezing over...?) and old people everywhere are ready to just pack it in and give up all together. After so many Idaho and Utah winters I am in my element and tend to forget why everyone is scrambling like mad crazy and driving with their E-Brake on! Regardless, it makes us feel truly at home and once again, Kingman has proved to be quite the delightful adventure!
